In 2010, Habitat for Humanity HRM is partnering with the Saint Leonard’s Society of Nova Scotia (SLSNS)to renovate Barry House, a 20 bed shelter for women and their children who are experiencing homelessness.  ReBuild 2010 volunteer teams will be working on a number of projects. Volunteer Services greet and register volunteers and provide the daily orientation. NOTE: Barry House will be completed under the Habitat for Humanity Women Build program, a program that encourages women to participate on the build site, learn construction skills and make a difference by building homes and communities. Men are not excluded and are invited to participate. Some days may be reserved for all female teams.

In 2010, Habitat for Humanity HRM is partnering with the Saint Leonard’s Society of Nova Scotia (SLSNS)to renovate Barry House, a 20-bed emergency shelter for women and their children. ReBuild 2010 volunteers will be working on a number of projects including exterior scraping / painting (working on scaffolding), landscaping, installing shelves and doing general repairs.

NOTE: Barry House will be completed under the Habitat for Humanity Women Build program, a program that encourages women to participate on the build site, learn construction skills and make a difference by building homes and communities. Men are not excluded and are invited to participate.  Some days may be reserved for all female teams.
