In 2010, Habitat for Humanity HRM is partnering with the Saint Leonard’s Society of Nova Scotia (SLSNS)to renovate Barry House, a 20 bed shelter for women and their children who are experiencing homelessness. ReBuild 2010 volunteer teams will be working on a number of projects. Volunteer Services greet and register volunteers and provide the daily orientation. NOTE: Barry House will be completed under the Habitat for Humanity Women Build program, a program that encourages women to participate on the build site, learn construction skills and make a difference by building homes and communities. Men are not excluded and are invited to participate. Some days may be reserved for all female teams.
